Salvage SOL is an information tool. It reads public Solana data and reports how much SOL is held as rent exemption in the empty token accounts belonging to an address. It is not a wallet, not a custodian, and not an exchange. It never holds your funds and never can.
Numbers come straight from Solana RPC nodes at the moment you scan. Nodes can lag, rate limit, or return incomplete data, so treat the result as a strong estimate rather than a legal statement of account. The dollar figure uses a live SOL price and moves with the market.
Scanning is free. When you claim, your wallet is handed a transaction that closes your empty token accounts and, in the same transaction, moves a service amount to us. That amount is shown to you on screen before you approve, and again inside your own wallet. You approve it or you do not, and if you do not, you are charged nothing at all. The Solana network fee is separate, a fraction of a cent, and goes to validators rather than to us.
You are never obliged to use this. Closing a token account is a standard Solana instruction that you can run yourself from the command line for free, and if you are comfortable doing that, you should keep your full amount.
We do not custody anything. We cannot sign for you, we cannot move a token you still hold, and the Solana token program itself refuses to close an account with a balance in it.
Transactions can fail for reasons outside anyone’s control, such as network congestion or an expired blockhash. A failed transaction changes nothing except the network fee already paid. Simply claim again.
Nothing here is financial, tax, or legal advice. Recovering rent may have tax implications where you live and that is between you and your accountant.
Do not hammer the scanner with automated traffic. We rate limit and may block abusive traffic without notice.
If you would rather not take our word for any of this, move your SOL and tokens to another wallet you control, leave about 0.003 SOL behind for the network fee, and run the claim on the emptied wallet. The dead accounts and their deposits are unaffected by moving your balance, so the full amount is still recoverable, and there is nothing else in the wallet to lose.
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the site, from any transaction you approve, or from any third party tool, wallet or network used alongside it. The full position is set out in the disclaimer.
