The short version: salvagesol.com is a tool, not a bank and not a custodian. It reads public chain data and prepares a transaction for you to look at. You are the one who signs it, your wallet is the one that executes it, and Solana is the one that carries it out. We are not part of that chain of events and we cannot be.
At no point does your SOL, your tokens, or anything else pass through us. There is no deposit address, no intermediary account, no balance held on your behalf. Money moves from your wallet, by your signature, to wherever the transaction you approved says it goes.
A signature is final. Solana has no undo button, no support line, and no way for anyone to reverse a confirmed transaction, including us. When you press approve in your wallet, you are the party taking that action.
This is why the site puts the whole picture in front of you first, tests every batch against a live node before a wallet popup ever appears, and asks you to read the transaction in your wallet. Please actually read it. If it shows something you do not recognise, reject it.
Any of these can happen, on this site or any other, and none of them are within our power to prevent:
A failed transaction changes nothing except the tiny network fee already paid to validators. Simply claim again.
We will never ask for a seed phrase or a private key, and no legitimate service will. But we cannot protect you from a phishing site that copies this one, from a malicious browser extension, from a compromised device, or from approving a transaction on some other site. Guarding your keys, your device and your approvals is your responsibility. The security page sets out how to do that.
Check the address bar every time. Fake copies of popular tools with one changed character are the most common way people lose money in crypto. If the domain is not exactly salvagesol.com, it is not us.
Numbers come straight from Solana RPC nodes at the moment you scan. Nodes can lag or return partial data, so treat the figure as a very good reading rather than a statement of account. Any dollar value uses a live market price and moves with the market.
The service is free to scan. A claim carries a service amount, and it is shown to you on screen and again inside your own wallet before you approve anything. If you decline, you are charged nothing at all. The Solana network fee is separate, goes to validators rather than to us, and is a fraction of a cent.
Nothing on this site is financial, tax, or legal advice. Recovering rent may have tax implications where you live, and that is between you and your accountant. We are not licensed advisors and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything.
The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, salvagesol.com and the people behind it are not liable for any loss arising from use of this site, from any transaction you approve, from any third party tool, wallet, or network you use alongside it, or from the site being unavailable.
If you do not accept this, the right thing to do is simple: do not use the site. Closing a token account is a standard Solana instruction and you are free to do it yourself from the command line at no cost.
